Puig Reports 4.1% Revenue Growth in Q2 2026, Driven by Fragrance and Makeup Expansion
Puig, the Spanish fragrance and beauty group, announced a 4.1% increase in revenues for the second quarter of 2026, reaching €1.14 billion, bolstering an already strong first half of the year.

Expanding Market Share Across the Globe
Following a 4.7% sales rise in Q1, Puig delivered a broad-based performance, fueled primarily by its fragrance and makeup divisions. CEO Jose Manuel Albesa highlighted the company’s ability to gain market share across diverse geographies and product categories. The group’s overall growth reflects a strategic focus on prestige and niche offerings.
Fragrance sales climbed 3.7% to €819 million, propelled notably by the continued success of Carolina Herrera’s prestige segment – particularly the explosive popularity of La Bomba, launched in 2025. Similarly, the niche fragrance sector experienced double-digit growth, thanks to strong performances from Byredo and Dries Van Noten. This demonstrates a keen understanding of evolving consumer preferences for distinctive, high-quality scents.
Makeup sales surged 9.1% to €188 million, largely attributed to an expanded distribution footprint for Charlotte Tilbury at Boots UK. This strategic move underscores Puig’s commitment to capitalizing on established brands and broadening their reach within key retail channels. Skincare, however, saw a slight dip of 0.3%, impacted by a challenging premium market and the temporary disruption caused by the reformulation of Chantecaille’s Remagic Cream, alongside the discontinuation of lower-margin discovery kits.
Albesa anticipates a stronger performance from skincare in the second half of the year, citing these temporary headwinds. Geographically, EMEA witnessed a 2.1% increase, while the Americas reported 3.2% growth, and Asia-Pacific saw a remarkable 16.1% rise, reaching €142.4 million. The company acknowledged a 0.6% impact from the ongoing conflict in the Middle East on overall H1 growth.
Looking ahead, Puig is launching Jean Paul Gaultier’s new feminine fragrance, ‘La Favorite’, a pivotal moment for the brand, marking its first major feminine pillar in a decade and aligning with the brand’s evolving aesthetic, overseen by Duran Lantink. Furthermore, Rabanne plans to revitalize its bestselling ‘One Million’ franchise with the introduction of ‘One Million Black’, supported by the debut of new creative director Olivier Rousteing in March 2027 – a figure poised to inject fresh energy into the house’s distinctive fusion of fashion and beauty. Despite weeks of discussions, merger talks with Estée Lauder Companies ultimately fell through in May. Puig remains open to strategic acquisitions, with a Capital Markets Day scheduled for October 28th in Madrid, where the company will detail its future roadmap.
