Havaianas Introduces Subversive Kitten Heel Collaboration
The world hums with stories, often hidden just beneath the surface of everyday life. I’ve spent the better part of seventeen years chasing those stories, digging into the nuances of culture, wellness trends, and the evolving landscape of how we).
Havaianas Launches Freaky Footwear with Studio Constance
Havaianas, the Brazilian brand known for its rubber flip-flops, has debuted a new collaboration with Studio Constance for its spring 2027 runway show at Copenhagen Fashion Week. The collection features a rubber thong kitten heel with a toe cap covering only the big toe.

Design Details and Styling
The shoe builds upon the brand’s classic dividing strap shape, incorporating a small asymmetric heel and a bulbous molded toe. It was styled on the runway with Studio Constance’s intellectually sexy, almost grunge riffs on elevated basics, including frilled and panelled jorts, sheer pannier dresses, and track jackets with bubbling hems. The design is sleek and appears technical, almost sporty – though not ideal for running.

Toe Concealment Trend Gains Traction
This design taps into a broader trend of exposing toes, popularized by figures like Hailey Bieber, Kylie Jenner, and Zendaya, who have embraced styles like Margiela tabi flats and Nike Air Rifts. Brands such as Le Monde Beryl, Paloma Wool, and Toteme have also championed covered-toe sandals and heels. More recently, brands like Wardrobe NYC and Chanel have explored even more minimal designs, including toe-exposing boots and half-shoes.
Past Collaborations and Notable Styles
Havaianas has previously collaborated with Jean Paul Gaultier and Saint Laurent, creating patterned and printed flip-flops. Last year, they partnered with Spanish label Gimaguas to release eyelet-studded leg warmer flip-flop boots, which were named Lyst’s hottest product of 2025. Other notable styles include Camper’s Kobarah heels and Julie Kegels thong socks.
