Standing at 69 cm tall and weighing 55 kg, the majestic canine boasts a striking dark coat that seems to absorb and reflect light. But don't let his imposing stature fool you - beneath the rugged exterior lies a heart of gold, with Uran adoring nothing more than a gentle caress.

From the mayenne hills to the city of lights

Bred and raised by Johan Hubert in the picturesque Mayenne region, Uran has already proven his mettle, taking home top honors at the 2025 Nationale d'Elevage. This success paved the way for him to strut his stuff at the prestigious Concours Général Agricole in Paris.

Johan, a forestry worker by trade, confesses that presenting a dog at the Salon remains a moment of pure joy, even when pitted against seasoned professionals. For his mother Ginette, the experience is a source of immense pride, recalling fond memories of podium finishes.

What makes a champion?

At the Concours, judges meticulously evaluate the conformity of each breed to its respective standards. For a Dogue de Tibet like Uran, this means scrutinizing his morphology, proportions, and the expression in his eyes. Judges also assess temperament, ensuring that the dog exudes a calm, gentle demeanor.

Uran will face off against other formidable molossers, but Johan assures us that their methods are refreshingly uncomplicated.
